Following extensive global passages Moondoggie chose Palma de Mallorca as their stopover for regular maintenance work. Vc Metalwork were chosen by the owner and project management team to provide machining and engineering work.
Given that a new shiny paint job was part of the boat upgrade the boat team smartly chose to fit chafe plates for the deck and and fitted ‘snap on’ rigging protection.
On-board templating and measurements were taken to fabricate 18, Grade 2 Titanium chafe shields, all with a brushed finish to match the aesthetic of the boat.
In addition to the chafe guards Vc Metalwork also supplied numerous other parts to the boat including custom designed and fabricated Anchor rollers, davit rollers, mast mounted camera protection, and deck pins.
