With the Caribbean season well underway superyachts of all shapes and sizes converged on the magical island of St Barths for the annual superyacht bucket regatta.
With 26 boats registered to fight it out on the beautiful course around St Barths, nearly half of the fleet had chosen Vc Metalwork to prepare their boat for the race, with winners in five of the six classes being long standing Vc Metal work customers.
Huge congratulations to all participants. Special compliments and thanks to Sojana (with whom Jim King, Operations Director of Vc Metalwork sailed at the regatta), Farfalla, Missy, Svea as class winners, and the overall St Barths bucket regatta winner, Nilaya all of who trust in Vc Metalwork to help prepare their incredible yachts.
Captain of Nilaya, the 2018 Bucket Champions, Thomas Hollyhomes comments:
‘Nilaya has been using Vc as our ‘go to’ Metalwork guys when we are in the Med. We entrusted Vc over the winter to deliver many new custom metallic parts and modifications to existing areas on the boat. Our major projects included boom, spreader and titanium standing rigging chafe protection. These parts certainly gave us the peace of mind to push the boat just that bit harder, adding to our overall boat performance, gaining us the 2018 Bucket title.
Thanks to all at Vc for your hard work and will be seeing you when we get back to the Med!’
Vc Metalwork are poised to continue work in Palma, for those boats returning to the Med, as well as servicing new and existing clients at our facility on the East Coast of the USA, perfectly situated between Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach.
From capstan reparation, Lloyds coded pipework, titanium chafe protection and precision machining Vc Metalwork is ready to undertake any project, whichever side of the Atlantic you may be!
